William C. Alden (b. 1871) was a geologist for the United States Geological Survey during the first half of the twentieth century. Alden was an expert on glacial geology and conducted extensive research on glacial geology in the Midwest (including Wisconsin and Iowa) and the West (including Montana and Wyoming).
